Getting Started

This documentation is for new users of CommandFusion hardware. It will serve as a guide to getting started with your hardware out of the box.

First Steps

After you have unboxed your gear, the first step is to power it up and update the firmware.

To power up your gear, you need a power supply input somewhere on the CFLink bus. See the documentation for more details on the CFLink bus.

The bus will carry power to all connected devices. We offer a power supply in our store, but any 24V DC power supply will do. We recommend a regulated power supply, but all devices will run on 9-30V DC range, so any power supply within those ratings will work (depending on your cable distances).

For more details on updating firmware, please see the Updating Firmware documentation.

Configuration

Once the hardware has been updated to the latest firmware, you can use the System Commander software to configure the devices properties as required, send test commands, and program rules and scheduling.

System Commander can discover and configure devices over Ethernet (if you are using a LAN Bridge) or RS232 for any device with an on-board RS232 port.

Known Issues

Currently scheduling on LAN Bridge is not yet fully functional. We are working on some updates to System Commander software to rectify this. The problem is only relating to the software, so the current LAN Bridge hardware and firmware is fine, just a software update being working on.
