iPad and iPhone Templates for guiDesigner

Blackman Signature Designs and C3 CustomCodeCrafters have both released new templates for iPhone and iPad automation interfaces based on our CommandFusion iViewer app. The templates can be opened in our guiDesigner software, offering outstanding graphics and serious time saving. (more…)

iViewer 3.3 Released, with iPad Support.

With the announcement of the iPad, we began working immediately to ensure iViewer, our home automation app for iPhone and iPod Touch, would work on the iPad from day 1. iViewer 3.0.2 released, guiDesigner updated

CF iViewer, our iPhone/iPod Touch app for home automation control, has just been updated to version 3.0.2. This release includes a few bug fixes and improvements. See our wiki for release notes.

iPhone Control of Kaleidescape

The guys over at Custom Controls in the UK have done a great job using our iViewer app for iPhone to control a Kaleidescape video and music player system, via Crestron. You can see a video demo of it in action on the Custom Controls website

The interface makes full use of the iViewer dynamic list capabilities, removing the need to cycle through pages of list data. Instead an intuitive flick of the finger is all that’s needed to scroll through the lists. (more…)

iPhone TV Remote using iViewer Video

We made a quick video showing how to use our software to control your TV (or any other IR device for that matter) with an iPhone or iPod Touch.

In the video, you can see a quick demo on how to use custom commands in guiDesigner to control any device over TCP or UDP. We are using a GlobalCache GC-100-12 in the video, but any device with an ethernet protocol can be controlled directly from your iPhone using our software.

iViewer 2.0 Released, guiDesigner update coming soon!

Our home automation iPhone app, CF iViewer version 2.0 has been released today on the App Store. This update adds many new features and fixes including:

  • Dynamic, scrolling list support
  • Custom command sending via TCP/UDP
  • Sound playback on digital join events
  • ‘Clickthrough’ mode for subpages and image elements
  • Launch safari browser to defined URL on button press
  • Many minor bug fixes

To implement these new features, you will need a new version of guiDesigner, which is just undergoing some last minute fixes before its public release. So please hang in there and watch this space for an announcement.

iViewer v1.0.2 increases stability

Recently, Crestron has announced they will be making an iPhone app available from the AppStore for controlling Crestron systems. We are not discouraged. We are committed to bringing new features and functionality to our iViewer app, for not only Crestron, but AMX, Control4, and any other system capable of TCP Socket communications. (more…)
