Hex Data

There are many times within guiDesigner where you may need to enter hex data. Some examples include:

  1. Entering command values
  2. Entering regular expressions for feedback parsing
  3. Defining system properties

When entering hex data in guiDesigner, it should always be entered in \xFF format, where FF is the hex character you want to send.

Some common hex characters used are:

  1. Carriage Return = \x0D
  2. New Line (Line Feed) = \x0A
